    World Cup — distractions

    Of course, me being random, I asked my dad “what’s up with the yellow/orange shoes in world cup?” and apparently a lot of people were thinking the same thing.. according to wikianswer: 

    They’re being worn by players sponsored by Nike. It is a top of the line shoe and Nike gave them a distnctive colorway so they would be noticed and so that people like you would ask about them. Quite effective apparently. The model is called Mercurial Vapor Superfly II Elite FG. A bit harder to remember than “the orange shoes”. They also cost about $400 US.
